This year, because of the Covid-19 pandemic we had to have a virtual Olympiada. This of course created additional challenges for the participants (and their parents), as well as the judges (and their families). Despite these difficulties and some technical issues, everyone was able to overcome these challenges.
Forty kids from 6 to 17 years old took part in the virtual Olympiada, and most of them did so for the first time. Several contestants were from distant states and even abroad, one of the few bonuses of the conducting the contest online.
Participants who received 90 points and higher will get gold medals. Those who received from 80 to 89.99 points will get silver medals, and children who received from 70 to 79.99 will get bronze medals.
We congratulate all Olympiada participants!
At the moment, we are not certain that we can conduct an in person award ceremony. If not, we will mail the awards to those from outside of the Tri-state area. Award winners who live closer may get their prizes in person.
If you would like to support the Olympiada and donate money towards the prizes and their transport, you can do so here.
