Malenkaya Kompaniya Theater Studio was founded in 2008. During these years our students have put many plays on stage (Kolobok<\/em>,\u00a0Cinderella<\/em>,\u00a0The<\/em>\u00a0Little Prince<\/em>,\u00a0The<\/em>\u00a0Elephant\u2019s Child<\/em>,\u00a0Buratino<\/em>,\u00a0The Cat that Walked by Himself<\/em> and many others). Our studio participated in the Festival of Russian Children\u2019s Theaters in Washington, DC two times. Our adaptation of The<\/em> Little Prince<\/em> received the first prize in the classic works category.<\/p>\n

The theater studio accepts children from 5 years old to 13 years old<\/strong>. Students of our Drama Program develop the technique of speech, memorize lyrics, tongue-twisters, songs and dances, design puppets and props, learn the basics of drama and puppetry, and participate in shows and performances.<\/p>\n

Children are placed in groups according to age and knowledge of Russian. The classes are in Russian. All theater terms are taught in Russian and English.<\/p>\n

The program includes 2 classes in one session: drama and singing with stage movement. Classes will be on Saturdays and Sundays in the morning and on Wednesdays in the afternoon. If there are enough kids we may open an additional group on other weekdays.<\/p>\n

For older kids and HS students we offer Public Speaking Classes.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Sunday program for children from 3 to 4.5 years old includes exercises to develop speech, memory, fine motor skills, and socialization. Kids will memorize poems, songs, and tongue-twisters; they will learn to perform on stage, work with finger puppets, and make arts and crafts. After that the kids may stay for a music class where they will learn singing and movement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Registration fee<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All participants in KidzHOME programs are required to pay for registration. Registration is valid for a school year<\/strong> (September to August). The fee is paid once and covers all KidzHOME programs. Please refer to the table of registration fees below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you pay per semester, it is for the time frame, not for the number of lessons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the kids stay with us for three classes in a row we offer them a snack. If they stay for four classes we may order pizza (additional $3 per kid will be added to your bill).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Missed classes \u2013<\/strong> You need to warn us at least 24 hrs before the class. In case of an excused absence, the payment (except for $10 fee per 45 min. session, $15 per 90 min. session, $20 per 120 min. and more<\/strong>) is transferred to the next term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supplies Fee<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fee of $60<\/strong> is paid once per semester and covers costumes, scenery, props, sound and light equipment, and scripts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
