«На пороге наших дней…»


Обычно, когда речь заходит о Пушкине и детях, первое, что приходит на ум, это его сказки – «Золотая рыбка», «Царь Салтан», «Сказка о спящей красавице и семи богатырях» и так далее. Мне же кажется, что есть еще одна нить, связывающая Пушкина с детьми, и это лицей. Ведь когда еще, как не в детстве (вспомним, что Пушкину при поступлении в лицей было 12 лет, а самому младшему лицеисту всего 10) человеку просто необходимы друзья, и, если они у него есть, то ему повезло, ведь, как пишет Сент-Экзюпери, в детстве «не у всякого был друг». И Пушкину действительно просто фантастически повезло. Мало кто вспомнит друзей Лермонтова, Некрасова, Тургенева, а скажи «Пушкин», и сразу, словно на перекличке, вспоминаются лицеисты: Пущин, Кюхельбекер, Дельвиг, Данзас… Пусть же так же повезет нашим детям, пусть у каждого из них будут друзья родом из детства, пусть будет в их жизни свое 19 октября.

Open House


We invite children and parents to the Open House that will take place on Saturday September 8, 2018 from 11 AM to 1PM at Kings Bay Y (3495 Nostrand Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11229).

On that day you will learn more about our drama studio and learning center, will meet some of the instructors, students and their parents, and will be able to register your kids for our classes.

Role Game Archers of Robin Hood


Weather permitting, our next game Archers of Robin Hood will take place on Monday, October 9 (Columbus Day) at Prospect Park.

The Ninth Olympiada of Spoken Russian


The Ninth Olympiada of Spoken Russian took place on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Kings Borough Community College. Sixty-two schoolchildren (from 6 to 16 years old) took part in the contest; fifty of them came in person and twelve participated via Skype. Besides children from tri-state area, the participants included two sisters from Madison, Wisconsin, who flew with their parents to New York in order to participate in the Olympiada. One girl was supposed to fly from Tampa, Florida, but her flight was canceled, and she had to participate via Skype. Eleven children from Massachusetts  participated via Skype from their Russian school in the suburbs of Boston.

New School Year


We have started a new school year in our theater studio.  We have two slots in a group of 5-6 year olds (preferably girls).

The King and the Queen had a daughter. What was her name? Well, if her dad was the King and her mom, the Queen, then she was called … You got it, Princess. but she was not a very typical Princess: she did not wear a crown and did not sit on a thIMAG0093rone.
